Adventure to Gokyo valley trekking begins after reaching at busy Sherpa town at Lukla and its small airstrip, as walk follows through number of nice villages and forested area to enter Sagarmatha National Park, and then climb towards famous high Namche Bazaar.
At Namche Bazaar for two nights to support acclimatization with short hike around high view points, an interesting large village of Namche, from here our route leads away from main path with climb towards Gokyo Valley following the raging Dudh Kosi River right up to its source at Gokyo and its simmering lakes.
Walking past tree lines to bare and arid terrain landscapes as route finally reaches you at most scenic valley of Gokyo with lakes that adds the charm of this beautiful spot, where early morning hike on free day takes you on top high Gokyo-Ri for breathtaking panorama of world four highest peaks with Everest, Lhotse, Cho-Oyu and Makalu with range of peaks that surrounds you on top.
After a glorious moments around Gokyo valley with spectacular views then slowly ending our adventure on downhill to reach back into tree lines towards Namche and Lukla for final overnight stop around high Khumbu and Everest region.

Best time and season for Gokyo Valley Trekking:
The best time for Gokyo Valley trekking and other Himalayan destinations in spring season from March to May as well during autumn in September till early December months, March to May where days are warm with enough day lights cold in the morning and late afternoon till night time, can expect snow sometimes on high hills and over the pass.
An enjoyable time in spring when wild flowers are in full bloom especially rhododendron of various species from tall trees to bush with magnolia and other beautiful flowers that makes a natural garden around high green hills.
September to early December months best time with clear fine days for views and pleasant walks but short sun-light hours due to autumn and winter season, much colder morning till night times can expect snow sometimes during walks on higher altitude areas.

Day To Day Itinerary

Day 1
Day 01: On arrival at Kathmandu airport 1,340 m meet our staff and transfer to hotel.
Landing at Kathmandu and Nepal international airport, where our guide or staff receives you for short drive to your respective hotels in the hub of Kathmandu.
After checking into your nice rooms with rest after a jet-lag, and then rendezvous with other group member of Gokyo Valley Trekking, our guide will brief you with information regarding the treks, about hotels and lodge with Nepalese culture, do’s and don’ts.
Evening enjoy grand welcome dinner in typical Nepalese restaurants with various native cultures as entertainment.
Day 2
Day 02: At Kathmandu with options for tour with time for trek preparations.
At Kathmandu as free day where one can join in our interesting sightseeing tour as options, as the capital Kathmandu of Nepal steeped with historical and religious monuments of world heritage sites.
Afternoon at leisure and preparation for Gokyo Valley Trekking, starting next morning with exciting flight and drive to Nepal Far Mid-East.
Day 3
Day 03: Fly to Lukla 2,820 m (35 mins) and walk to Phakding village 2,645 m- 04 hrs.
Morning fly to Lukla to start our trek, super sweeping scenic flight of 35 minutes takes you to Nepal Far North Mid-East region around high Khumbu area to land at Lukla town airport.
During air glorious panorama of mighty Himalayan peak with views of Everest, Makalu and Kanchenjunga range, on landing at Lukla a nice town located on a high shelf of Dudh Kosi River with cool alpine climate, from here taking a short walks of few hours past nice Sherpa farm village and within patch of rhododendron and pine forest to reach at Phakding for overnight camp.
Day 4
Day 04: Trek to Namche Bazaar 3,440 m after Sagarmatha National Park -06 hrs.
From Phakding morning on nice pleasant slow climb crossing bridge to reach at lovely village of Monjo facing views of Tharmarserku peak, then enter Sagarmatha National Park.
Sagarmatha a name in Nepalese for Everest while Sherpa calls Chomolungma, as walk takes you to last village of Jorsalle before Namche Bazaar, walking around river bed with short climb to cross the high bridge.
After the bridge with climb on winding path within forested surroundings of pines, firs, oaks and rhododendron trees as route leads into famous Namche Bazaar for overnight stop.
Day 5
Day 05: At Namche for acclimatization and short scenic hike to view point.
Namche, famous large village nearly size of a town an important spot for Khumbu Sherpa as well for trekkers, where one can find nearly all types of facilities from banks, post-office, nice lodge and hotels with many restaurants and bakeries including Pubs and Bar to enjoy on the way back.
Namche holds busy colorful market once a week on Saturday, an interesting bazaar to observe local custom and cultures of Khumbu Sherpa native.
Day 6
Places to visit on rest day at Namche Bazaar:
Short walks to National Park museum an interesting place on top of Namche Bazaar, where you can catch views of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse and Amadablam with series of peaks.
Everest View Hotel, a climb of an hour to Syangboche and then easy uphill to the highest deluxe hotel of Khumbu at 3,880 m rewards grand views of Mt. Everest and range of peaks in serene environment.
Khumjung and Khunde Village located on a glacial valley different to Namche, with traditional life style houses and to witness Sherpa lively custom and culture.
Visit Khumjung old monastery the only place believed to be of Yeti scalps, visit Khunde and the hospital built by Hillary Foundation.
Day 7
Day 06: Trek to Dole 4,100 m - 06 hrs.
Spending pleasant and exciting time at Namche morning walk heads north on wide scenic trail with views of Everest and range of high peaks, as walk climbs to a small place at Mong hill top for short break and then downhill for lunch stop at Phortse Tenga.
Afternoon climb leads for few hours within lovely cool rhododendron, pine and fir tree forest to reach at Dole as air get cooler from here onward, a small settlement with many good lodges for overnight stop.
Day 8
Day 07: Trek to Machhermo 4,470 m - 04 hrs.
After Dole morning short climb to a ridge and then on winding trail for an hour to Lhabarma Kharka at 4,325 m and Luza at 4,390m; then skirting around ridge with views of Machherma, situated below on a small valley, then descend to Machherma for overnight stop.
Day 9
Day 08: Trek to Gokyo Lake and valley 4,800 m - 04 hrs.
Short day walk to Gokyo main area of the valley, as route follow scenic trail to Pangka 4,545m, then with climb on rocky path within ablation valley, as walk leads to first lake and then at second lake to reach the main third lake at Gokyo, also called Dudh Pokhari or Gokyo Lake.
Gokyo valley with lakes located at 4,800 m high, afternoon rest or short walk around the lake with views of Mt. Cho-Oyo world’s 6th high with Gyachung Kang that reflects on the Lake.
Day 10
Day 09: At Gokyo rest day for hike and climb to Gokyo-Ri 5,357 m.
Rest day at Gokyo valley early morning climb to highest point of the adventure reaching on top Gokyo Ri at 5,357 m, offers stunning panorama of Mt. Cho-Oyu, Mt. Everest, Lhotse and Mt. Makalu covering four world highest mountains at one glance with series of smaller peaks.
Enjoying views and grand mountain panorama with massive Ngozumba Glacier and of Gokyo then descend back downhill for lunch with rest of the afternoon at leisure.
Day 11
Day 10: Trek to Dole past Machherma and Luza - 06 hrs.
A long walk today as trek leads on same scenic main trails to reach past Machherma with few short ups and more down heading past Luza a small settlement to reach at Dole overnight stop.
Day 12
Day 11: Trek to Namche Bazaar - 06 hrs walks.
From Dole on completing our adventurous walk where morning takes you on same route to Phortse Tenga and with climb to Mong Hill enjoy views of mountains and then downhill to near level path to reach Namche Bazaar on walk enjoy views of Everest and Amadablam with other peaks till Namche is reached for overnight stop after a pleasant walk of short ups and downs.
Day 13
Day 12: Trek to Lukla - 06 hrs.
Last day walk of our adventure, as morning starts with long descend to reach Dudh Kosi River and at Sagarmatha National Park near Monjo village, from here walk and cross a long bridge to Phakding.
From Phakding head towards Lukla where route lead with up and downs with last final climb of short hour to reach Lukla for last overnight stop around Khumbu and Everest region.
Day 14
Day 13: Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu with afternoon free at leisure.
From Lukla morning and as time for the flight walk into airport terminal where short flight reach you at Kathmandu airport, and then get transferred to your hotels.
Day 15
Day 14: In Kathmandu free day for individual activities.
A spare and contingency day in Kathmandu reserved as extra day where trekking can be delayed with unfavorable bad weather as flight sometimes are not fly on time and leads to cancellation in the beginning or end of the trek can happen where Himalaya weather can be unpredictable sometimes.

Day 16
Day 15: International departure for home ward bound.
