Short Everest Trek is the mini version of Everest Base Camp Trek. This trek is the easiest trekking trip that grants a magnificent view of the world’s highest peak, Mount Everest. Base Camp is situated at an altitude of 5,380m on the south side of the Mount Everest.
The Everest region is the home to majestic mountains, including that of the world’s highest mountains, the Mt. Everest (8,848 m) and several other Himalayas above 8,000 m. to name a few are Mt. Lhotse (8,516 m), Mt. Cho Oyu (8,201 m), Mt. Makalu (8,463 m) and the region equally boasts other majestic mountains like Mt. Nuptse (7,855 m), Mt. Amadablam (6,856 m), Mt. Pumori (7,161 m) , Mt. Thamserku (7,723 m) , Mt. Kantega (6,685 m), Mt. Lingterin (6,679 m).
During this trek, you will observe amazing landscapes broken up by deep gorges and glacial valleys with vegetation of pine and hemlock forests at lower altitudes, fir, juniper, birch, and rhododendron woods, scrub and alpine plant communities, and bare rock and snow.
Day 01: Fly Kathmandu to Lukla and trek to Phakding (2,652 m / 8,699 ft).
After having early breakfast at the hotel in Kathmandu, we will drop you to Kathmandu Domestic airport and take a spectacular flight (about 35 Minutes) to the small mountain valley airport Lukla, after reaching Lukla, we will start the trek towards Phakding. Overnight at lodge in Phakding.
Day 02: Trek to Namche Bazar (3,440 m/11,283 ft).
The trial today passes through a beautiful pine forest and we will continue our walk on a trail that goes north up the Benkar valley following the banks of Dudh Koshi River. We cross the Dudh Koshi River and pass Chumoa and Monjo village before reaching the entrance of Everest National Park. Then after crossing a suspension bridge, we pass jorsale village and walk alongside Dudh Koshi and Bhote Koshi River. We ascend on a step trial and reach the biggest town in the Everest region i.e. Namche Bazar. We will be staying overnight witnessing beautiful Namche Bazar.
Day 03: Acclimatization day at Namche Bazar.
Since we will be gaining a lot of high altitude acclimatization is very important to reduce the chances of altitude sickness. We will have a rest day today at Namche for acclimatization. We will tour to the primary town of the Everest region which is Namche Bazar. We will spend our whole day hiking to the places that are near to the areas. We can hike up to Sagarmatha National Park and enjoy the sunrise over the Himalayas. Our overnight stay will be on Namche Bazaar.
Day 04: Trek to Trek to Tengboche (3,860m/12,660ft).
We begin our trek to Tengboche via Phunki. The trek until Phunki is not very difficult. After reaching Phunki we will ascend towards the biggest monastery which is Tengboche Monastery which lies in Tengboche village. The UNESCO world heritage site Sagarmatha National Park is also located here; we can enjoy the beautiful panoramic views of the Himalayas which the monastery is blessed with. The Himalayas including Mt.Everrest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam and Thamserku can be viewed from here. The Monastery opens at 3:00 pm, so if we reach thereby 3 o’clock we can observe the Buddhist religious ceremony. We will be staying overnight in Tengboche.
Day 05: Trek to Monjo.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. Walking: 7 Hrs. Overnight at Lodge or Teahouse.
Day 06: Trek to Lukla.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. Walking: 5 Hrs. Overnight at Teahouse or Lodge.
Day 07: Fly to Kathmandu.
