Trip Introduction
Champa Devi is a well-known hiking trail in and around Kathmandu. It is 19 kilometers away and located on the southwestern edge of the city of Kathmandu. It is the third-highest hill in Kathmandu Valley, standing at an elevation of 2,278m/7,473ft. The Trail was named after the Goddess of the Hill, who guards the forest and the surrounding area. You can see Mt. Everest, Annapurna, Gaurishankar, Dorje Lakpa, Langtang Lirung, Ganesh Himal, and other spectacular mountains. You can see the entire Kathmandu valley from the top of the hill and some historical places such as Bugmati, Khokhana, and Pharping.
You will drive to the hike’s starting point, the Hattiban resort. The trip takes about an hour. You will begin your hike once you arrive at the Hattiban resort gate. The trail passes through a dense pine forest covered with Buddhist Prayer Flags. You’ll take the stone steps to the top. You will enjoy the scenic trails and views. You’ll have a dry picnic lunch. You will continue on the same trail to return to Kathmandu.
