Trip Introduction

Kakani Hiking is a popular hike near Kathmandu. It is placed northwest of Kathmandu. It is located in Nepal’s Nuwakot district, 29 kilometers from Kathmandu Valley. It is widespread in flora and fauna. It is situated at an elevation of 2,030m/6,660ft. The path travels through green paddy fields, allowing you to experience rural Nepalese life. It is well-known for its trout fishing and strawberry farming. You will be able to see Mt. Annapurna, Mt. Langtang, Mt. Manaslu, Mt. Gaurishankar, and other mountains.

You will drive to Kakani Bus Park, the hike’s starting point. The journey takes between 1 and 2 hours. When you arrive at the Bus Park, you will begin your hike. The trail passes through a dense pine forest with breathtaking views. You’ll also pass-through small streams and greenery. The scenic trails and views will delight you. You’ll enjoy a dry picnic lunch. You will return to Kathmandu via the same route.

Drive from Kathmandu to Kakani Buspark and Hike to Kakani Hilltop

After breakfast, our representative will meet you in the lobby and drive you to Kakani Bus Park, which is about an hour and a half drive from Thamel. After arriving at the Bus Park, get ready for the hike. You’ll be walking through a dense pine forest with incredible views. You’ll also pass-through small streams and lush vegetation. The scenic trails and views will take your breath away. You will also pass through the Thai Memorial Park, where the plane crash occurred in 1992. The crash killed 113 people. You can also go strawberry picking and trout fishing. You’ll enjoy a dry picnic lunch with the beautiful scenery after reaching the top. Continue down the same route and drive back to Kathmandu.
