Trip Introduction

The Ladakh region, also known as the “Land of High Passes,” is located in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir and is a barren but still beautiful region. It has a shared border with Tibet. It is bounded on the north by the Kunlun Mountains and the south by the Himalayas. It is a Tibetan Buddhist cultural center. Its natural features are primarily high plains and deep valleys. Ladakh is a popular trekking destination due to its scenic beauty, rugged terrain, majestic mountains, and the challenge of roughing it.

In Ladakh, Nubra Valley is also known as Lumdra, which means “Valley of Flowers,” and it is also known as the “Orchard of Ladakh.” It is bounded to the north by the Karakoram Range and Pass. It is also known as the Siachen Glacier’s gateway. It is an amazing region of Ladakh and a well-known trekking trail in India. The valley is a branch of the Shyok River, which flows parallel to the Indus on the Ladakh range’s northern side.

Your 10-day adventure starts with a flight to Leh. The flight takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes. You will be traveling to Leh. The drive from Leh to Phyang takes about 30 minutes. The journey begins in Phyang. You’ll then travel to Phyang Phu and the South Base of Lasermo. You will cross the Lasermo La Pass. You will then descend through several villages, including the North Base of Lasermo, Hunder Dok, and Hunder. You will drive to Leh from Hunder. The drive takes between 5 and 6 hours.

  • The Nurba Valley Trek is the Moderate Trek. You can easily complete this trek if you are physically and mentally prepared and willing to do so.
  • You will be Trekking for 5 Days. The Path can be completed in as little as 3 hours as much as 8 hours.
  • The walk is not tricky, there is no Climbing or Scrambling but the path is rocky and hilly.
  • Each day you will cover 200 to 400 meters in height while trekking. The Highest Point in trek you will reach on the trek is 5,438m.
  • The weather and Remoteness of this trek, as well as dealing with the high altitude, require a slow pace and the need to stay hydrated.
