Trip Introduction
The Langtang Gosaikunda, and Helambu Trek is a beautiful long walk with stunning mountain views, culture, flora, and fauna. You will travel through lush forests, charming villages, abundant wildlife, and breathtaking Himalayan views. The route is located on the north side of Kathmandu valley. The trekking path is easily accessible from Kathmandu, Nepal’s capital city.
The trail crosses through Langtang National Park, a beautiful landscape overflowing with majestic flora and fauna and yak pasture land. There are various plant and animal species to see, including the Larix Himalaica and the Red Panda. It has a diverse range of vegetation. The wide-ranging trek introduces you to Tamang and Sherpa Buddhist culture, and the ancient monastery of Kyanjin Gompa, located near Tsergo, maintains this tradition. As you walk through the beautiful villages and Buddhist Shrines, you will notice the colorful prayer flags hanging. The Holy Lake Gosaikunda.
The 16-day trek begins with a seven- to eight-hour drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi. The path follows the Langtang River as it passes through the small settlements of Bamboo, Lama Hotel, and Langtang Village. You will hike from Langtang village to Kyanjing Gompa, where you will be able to see the breathtaking views. After that, you will hike to Kyanjing Ri and Tsergo Ri, from which you will have a spectacular view of the mountains and glacier. We proceed to a high plateau, where the sacred lake Gosainkunda is located, via Syabru village and SingGompa. We proceed to Helambu circuit after crossing the Lauribina La pass and Gosaikunda. The magnificent Melamchi Ghau monastery, Sermathang Village with views of the entire Himalayan range, and a Buddhist temple are the highlights of the Helambu region. Melamchi Bazaar downhill walk and drive back to Kathmandu.

- The Langtang Gosaikunda and Helambu Trek is the Moderate Trek. You can easily complete this trek if you are physically and mentally prepared and willing to do so.
- You will be Trekking for 13 Days. The Path can be completed in as little as 3 hours as much as 8 hours.
- The walk is not tricky, there is no Climbing or Scrambling but the path is rocky and hilly.
- Each day you will cover 200 to 400 meters in height while trekking. Highest point in trek you will reach on the trek is 4,984m.
- The weather and Remoteness of this trek, as well as dealing with the high altitude, require a slow pace and the need to stay hydrated.
