Trip Introduction
Climbing back up again to Khopra Danda Trek which is north of the Poon Hill. This will take a day but it depends on you if you are willing to take a break which can be at a village named Swanta. The common attractions during this trek includes view of common mountain peaks as Mount Dhaulagiri (8,167m), Nilgiri (7,061m), Bharha Shikhar (7,647m), Annapurna I (8,091m), Annapurna South (7,219m), Hiunchuli (6,434m), Machhapuchhre (fishtail, 6,997m, Annapurna II (7,937m), Annapurna IV (7,525m) and Lamjung Himal (6,983m) (subject to clear weather). Also, the sunrise and the sunset view from the Khopra Danda are mesmerizing.
There is a unique culture in this area to know. Local inhabitants of Khopra on the occasion of Janai Purnima drink fresh blood of Yak with a belief that it cures almost all diseases including cancer. This has been in practice since long where they don’t kill yak but inject on some part of yak’s body to collect blood for serving a purpose. Khopra Danda is also famous for Yarsagumba which is regarded as the master herbal able to cure many diseases.

Day 1
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu, Tribhuvan Internation Airport (1,300m/4,264ft)
Our airport representative from Annapurna Encounter Trek’s will receive you outside the terminal hall. Please, look for our Treks play card. We will transfer you to the hotel, introduce your to your trekking guide and check the necessities. In the afternoon, stroll around the colorful market of the bustling city – Thamel.

Day 2
Day 02:Drive: Kathmandu – Pokhara (827m/2,700ft) – 6 – 7 hours Drive
After breakfast, proceed for sightseeing around the famous UNESCO world heritage sites of Kathmandu. We visit Pashupatinath Temple – the sacred Hindu temple located on the bank of holy river Bagmati, Boudha Stupa – the biggest stupa architecture in Nepal and Swayambhunath Stupa – the 2,000 years old legendary Stupa perched on a hillock.
This tour also covers the visit to Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square, the Krishna Temple, the Kumbheswore Temple, the Golden Temple and many more. The sightseeing tour ends Kathmandu Durbar Square that is home to living goddess Kumari, Nautale Durbar, the Kaal Bhairav, the Swer Bhairav, the Freak Street and more.

Day 3
Day03: Drive from Pokhara to Nayapul and trek to Tikhedhunga
After breakfast, we drive to Nayapul which is at around one and half hour driving distance from Pokhara. As we reach Nayapul, we start trekking to Tikhedhunga. It takes around three hours of walk the we will walk along the bank of Modi Khola (River) and cross Birethanti & Hille to reach Tikhedhunga.

Day 4
Day04: Tikhedhunga – Ghorepani
After breakfast, we walk across Ulleri and walk up 3,000 stone stairs. The trail today tests your endurance and stamina. Druing this we will explore many small villages of Gurung and Magar community during the trek. We will walk through the magical forest of rhododendron and reach Bathanti and few hours climb from here leads us to Ghorepani.

Day 5
Day05: Ghorepani – Swata
Today, we make a pre-dawn hike to the vantage point of Poon Hill. It is located at a walking distance of around 45 minutes from Ghorepani. After sunrise view and exploration of the surrounding mountain, we trek downhill and cross community-based hotel to reach Swata.

Day 6
Day06: Swata to Sistibum
Today we follow the less-trodden route to Sistibum. We walk to a waterfall and walk deep into the forest to reach Sistubum.

Day 7
Day07: Sistibum – Khopra
The trail from Sistibum to Khopra is interesting. We will climb along the ridges walking across the cluster of rhododendron, fir, and oak to reach Khopra.
Located at an altitude of 3,660m, Khopra is truly a mesmerizing viewpoint. Here we get to witness the majestic view of snow-capped peaks like Annapurna South, Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, Tukuche, Dhampus Pass, Fulbari Danda, and others.
Day 8
Day08: Exploration day at Khopra
It is going to be a great day today. We will visit the fascinating lake Khare. It is a few hour hikes from Khopra. In Khare Lake Yak blood drinking culture is noticed on the day of Janaipurnima. We will also hike around the village to observe local culture and tradition.

Day09: Khopra – Dobato
Walking through beautiful magical forest of rhododendron, we trek ahead to Dobato.

Day11: Tadapani – Jhinu
