Introduction:

Helambu Trek an enjoyable and marvelous destination for short treks of week duration, where walk takes you around nice farm villages of great interesting cultures in shade of high Langtang and Jugal Himal range of mountains.

Helambu Trekking takes you to North Mid-East Himalayan green hills covered with serene cool forest of tall rhododendron and pines tree lines, in spring season of March to May hills are alive with wild-flowers in full bloom makes great picturesque scenery to witness.

Helambu Trekking located beyond North East of Kathmandu valley rim the nearest and most beautiful mountain destination to explore around its traditional villages, lovely woodlands and views of high snow clad peaks.

A lovely country to visit and around least trekked area by main flow of trekkers where you will less number of foreign travelers on this wonderful walk to Helambu and around its beautiful places.

A moderate adventure walks with steep climb and downhill includes some gradual section on this journey to reach at marvelous villages of Helambu in Tarke-Gyang and Sermathang, where you can soak into local immense cultures of Buddhism religion as practiced by the native Hyalmo people the main ethnic tribe of Helambu around high Langtang and Jugal Himalaya range.

Helambu Trekking starts with short drive from the capital Kathmandu to a small farm town at Sundarijal, where climb leads to Shivapuri and Langtang National Park entrance, following the high path through number of farm villages to reach on high ridge at Chisapani.

Chisapani offers glorious sunrise views over array of Central and western Himalaya range of peaks, where walk takes you on nice path with some ups and down to reach the highest spot at Tadepatti above 3,595 m high where you can catch outstanding panorama of dramatic landscapes with wide range of white peaks.

Walk leads into serene cool rhododendron, oaks, magnolia, pines and fir tree forest to enter Helambu area at Malemchigaon village and then reaching our main destination in Tarke-Gyang the major village and centre of Helambu area.

With time here to explore its nice village adorned with age-old heritage and colorful cultures of Buddhism visiting its ancient monastery, the people of Helambu known as Hyalmo few indigenous tribes of Nepal Himalaya, skilled in arts and craftsmanship.

From Tarke-Gyang walk takes you to another interesting village in Sermathang to witness more of local custom and then completing our walks with drive to low warm country and then reaching at Kathmandu, after a great marvelous short adventure on Helambu Trekking.  

Best time and season for Helambu Trekking:

The best time in spring season from March to May as well during autumn in September till early December months, March to May where days are warm with enough day lights cold in the morning and late afternoon till night time, can expect snow sometimes on high hills and over the pass.

September to early December best time with clear fine days for views and pleasant walks but short sun-light hours due to autumn and pre-winter seasons, much colder morning till night times can expect snow sometimes during walks on higher altitude areas.
