Nagarjuna Hiking

Trip Introduction

Nagarjuna is only a short hike from Kathmandu. Jamacho viewpoint hike is another name for it. Manjushree is said to have seen the Kathmandu valley from Nagarjuna Hill. It is located to the northwest of Kathmandu Valley is 9 kilometers away. It is located within the Shivapuri National Park. The name was inspired by the meditator Nagarjuna, who meditated in the cave. There is another Buddha cave, Mahasiddhas. It is situated at an elevation of 2,128m/6,981ft. The spectral views of Jugal Himal, Ganesh Himal, and Langtang Himal are also available.

You will drive to the hike’s starting point, Nagarjuna Gate. A typical road trip lasts between 20 and 30 minutes. You will begin your hike when you arrive at Nagarjuna gate. You will walk through a forest trail of bamboo, oak, pine, and rhododendrons. You can see a variety of bird species. You will also walk past Buddhist prayer flags. You will continue walking toward the Cave and Monastery. The Major Highlights of the hike are Buddha stupa, ancient Caves, and Jamacho Viewpoint. You’ll wander around and have a dry picnic while admiring the scenery. Return to your hotel.
