Trip Introduction
Namo Buddha is a small village placed atop a stunning hill, complete with a well-preserved Buddhist monastery. Thrangu Tashi Yangtse Monastery is a major pilgrimage site for Nepali Buddhists. It provides a 360-degree view of the Kathmandu Valley. It is located southeast of Kathmandu at an elevation of 1,750m/5,741ft, along with Banepa and Panauti. It is 38 kilometers from Kathmandu. You will have a spectacular view of the Langtang, Manaslu, and Mahalangur ranges.
You will drive to Panauti, the starting point of the hike. A road trip lasts about 1 to 2 hours. You will begin your hike when you arrive in Panauti. Climbing the hill will reward you with a breathtaking view of the Kathmandu Valley. You will gradually ascend the hill toward the Lapsibot. After a short walk, you will come across the Monastery on the hilltop. Enjoy the amazing mountain views from the hilltop before descending.

After breakfast, our representative will meet you in the lobby and drive you to Panauti, which is about 1 to 2 hours from Thamel. When you arrive in Panauti, you will begin your hike. Climbing the hill will reward you with a spectacular view of Kathmandu Valley. You’ll gradually make your way up the hill toward the Lapsibot. The Monastery on the hilltop will be visible after a short walk. The Monastery’s beauty is enhanced by the presence of beautiful Buddhist prayer flags. Before descending, take in the breathtaking mountain views from the hilltop. Have lunch with the local cuisine before returning to Kathmandu.
