Trip Introduction

Singu Chuli is also known as Fluted Peak. It is located in the Annapurna Himal, just west of Ganggapurna. It is located at an elevation of 6,501m. It is part of the Annapurna Sanctuary. It is a technical peak to climb in the Annapurna region. It is close to the Tharpu Chuli peak and integrates to the Himchuli Himal. We can see Annapurna I, II, III, Machhapuchhre, Hiunchuli, Gangapurna, and Tharpa Chuli.

The path to Singu Chuli passes through a magical land of snow and ice. It is a classic combination of teahouse trek and climbing that takes you to the foothills of the Annapurna range. This region is rich in biodiversity. As you travel around the paths, you will come across Thakali and Loba people. There are also small Buddhist shrines and Ghumbas to be found. Along the way, you can enjoy and learn about local ethnic Gurung and Magar customs in small settlements and villages. The trail winds through a green forest of rhododendrons, rice paddies, and terraced fields, providing unparalleled mountain views and an inside look at Nepalese life and culture.

The 18-day journey begins with a flight to Pokhara, which takes about 25 minutes. We will then drive to Kimchi village, where you will begin your hike to Ghandruk, the home of the courageous Gurkha soldiers. We will be treated to breathtaking views of mountains, sunrises, and sunsets throughout the trip. We will also pass through several villages, including Chhomrong, Dobhan, Machhapuchhre, and Annapurna Base Camp. From there, we will trek to the Singu Chuli base camp to acclimate. We’ll continue on to High Camp and Camp I. Finally, on the final day, we will summit Singu chuli and descend to base camp. Finally, descend to Nayapul, the trek’s end.

Is this trek appropriate for you?

  • This trek includes 15 days of strenuous climbing. You’ll be trekking for a minimum of 2 to a maximum of 10 hours per day, reaching elevations of over 5000 meters at times. We cannot overestimate the importance of being in excellent physical shape and health, which requires training before your trip to ensure that you are properly prepared.
  • This is the trek for you if you have previous rock climbing or wall climbing experience. It is recommended that you have prior experience with high-altitude trekking.
  • The weather in the Himalayas can be unpredictable, you must plan and prepare accordingly, as well as stay up to date on the weather forecast.
  • The teahouses, or trekking lodges, where we stay on the trek are very basic, with just basic services. Hot water may not be accessible at all times and may be charged extra, as well as access to electrical outlets for charging electronics. Wi-Fi is available in some areas, although the quality of the connection may be poor.
  • The path twists and turns through challenging terrain. At 6,501meters, you’ll reach the highest peak. Because of the weather, isolation, and high altitude of this walk, it’s critical to take it carefully and stay hydrated.
