Trip Introduction
Chitwan National Park Tour is one of the famous wildlife tour of Nepal. The Chitwan National Park is listed as a world heritage property. It covers an area of 952.63 km2. The Chitwan National is located in the subtropical Inner Terai lowlands of south-central Nepal. As a national park, it conserves mammals, birds, and fauna.
We can also find one-horned rhino. Chitwan national park is also home of 68 mammal species, 543 species of bird and 700 species of fauna.
Flora and fauna
The Chitwan valley have tropical and subtropical forests. Around 70% of park vegetative is Sal forest, a moist deciduous vegetation type of the Terai region.
The remaining vegetation types include grassland, riverine forest and Sal with Chir pine Pinus roxburghii. The later occurs at the top of the Churia range. The riverine forests consist of Khair (Acacia catechu), Sissoo (Dalbergia sissoo) and Simal (Bombax ceiba).
A total of 68 species of mammals, 56 species of herpetofauna and 126 species of fish have been recorded in the park. The Chitwan National Park is renowned for the famous One Horned Rhinoceros, Royal Bengal Tiger and Gharial Crocodile.
The park harbours not only the world’s largest terrestrial mammal (wild elephant) but also the world’s smallest terrestrial mammal (pygmy shrew).
544 species of birds has been recorded. 22 globally threatened species are found here including critically endangered Bengal Florican, Slender-billed Vulture, White-rumped Vulture, and Red-headed Vulture.
Jungle Safari
Jungle safari is one of the most popular activities in Chitwan national park. As you have the chance to see the green forest, wildlife, flat landscape of Nepal and many more. It is also one of the easy tours in Nepal.
It is suitable for every age. In jungle safari, you can have an elephant or jeep. In this jungle, the safari you are going to explore inside of the national park.
Bird Watching
We can get the views the different birds while we are for an early morning walk by the bush. Along the Rapti River over 450 species of exotic birds including Giant, Hombill, Lesser Florican and Paradise Flycatcher exist, no doubt we will be accompanied by our experienced naturalist.

Day 1
Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu
Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, Our representative personal will be there for your warm welcome and will help you to transfer to the hotel. In free time, you can either take rest or take a walk around Thamel.
Day 2
Day 2: Drive to Chitwan
Early morning we will take the bus and will drive to Chitwan. A scenic drive follows the banks of Trishuli River; which is one of the best whitewater rafting rivers in Nepal. It takes 5 hours approx. to reach Chitwan. After reaching the hotel get refreshed and will have a short brief on your activities. In free time you can take a walk in the Rapti Riverbank and can view the wonderful sunrise view. In the evening you will have a wonderful dinner with typical Tharu Cultural program.
Day 3
Day 3: Explore Chitwan National Park
This day you will be exploring Chitwan National park. We will have canoeing on Budhi Rapti River and will visit to Elephant breeding centre. We will also have elephant back safari into the dense jungle of Chitwan National park are the highlights of the day. If you wish this day you can also have an elephant bath.
Day 4
Day 4: Drive back to Kathmandu
Before breakfast, go for bird watching. Then come back to hotel take breakfast and get ready to come back to Kathmandu. It takes 5 hours drive to get back to Kathmandu. We visit the historic Durbar Square, the sacred Hindu temples, the famous ‘Monkey Temple’ (Swayambhunath) in Kathmandu.
Day 5
Day 5: Final departure
Our representative will escort us to the airport approximately 3 hours before our scheduled flight.
