Trip Introduction

Shivapuri Hiking is another popular hike in the Kathmandu Valley. It is the closest national park to Kathmandu. It is located 8 kilometers north of Kathmandu Valley. It stands at a height of 2,563m/8048ft. It is well-known for birdwatching. You can also see the source of the Bagmati River, the Bhaghdwar, which is said to flow from the mouth of the Tiger. You will also have a breathtaking view of the Langtang, Rolwaling, Ganesh, Dorje-Lhakpa, and other mountains.

You will drive to Budhanilkantha, the hike’s starting point. A road trip takes between 30 and 45 minutes. When you arrive at Budhanilkantha, you will begin your hike. As you climb the hill, you will be rewarded with a breathtaking view of the Kathmandu Valley. You’ll be walking down a dusty road. You’ll arrive at the Nang Kyi Gumba after navigating the steep hills and the Climb. The scenery along the path will be breathtaking. Follow the forest trail until you reach Baghdwar. In Nepali, Bagh means Tiger, and Dwar means gate. After enjoying the Waterfall, enjoy a dry picnic. Further, Hike to the top of Shivapuri and take in the view before descending. Return to your hotel.
